Today the composers in the Swedish constellation Syntjuntan visited The Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences in Lund. They held one of their workshops where the participants could sew small electronic instruments, using some basic components and inductive thread.
It was a nice experience to leave the screen based electronics that otherwise dominate everyday life. The contrast between the immediacy of sewing together these relatively simple analogue circuits and tools that I usually utilize for sound work (like Ableton Live, Max for Live and digital recording equipment) is stark. Good with some minimalistic analogue therapy once in a while. Recommended!
