Selkosen Sähkö (2008)

An audiovisual performance in connection to the exhibition Valoa Vintillä in Taivalkoski, Finland, 10th of July 2008. The main idea for Selkosen Sähkö was to present new media art for an audience who was unfamiliar with these kind of artistic expressions. The performance was based on sound and images recorded in the surroundings of the Taivalkoski-municipality. Taivalkoski is located in northern Finland, and most known for the works of Kalle Päätalo, who was born in this area. The surroundings of Taivalkoski have become central to my cultural exploration and my artistic probing. Selkosen Sähkö was the first time I used The Delta Bell in my artistic work.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
